MY PHILOSOPHY
I believe that all my students are capable, competent and creative. Fostering an environment conducive of a growth mindset and creating a classroom culture of high expectations of success for all students is central to my teaching philosophy. I believe it is my job as a teacher to connect students with their dreams, whatever they may be; by providing them with not just the knowledge, but skills and passion they require in order to fulfill these dreams.
As a teacher, I need to help young learners see the world and notice and explore what is interesting, different, conflicting and exciting. Kindergarten is the foundation to all of this. It is here in Kindergarten that students have the unique opportunity to explore whatever they want and plant the seeds for their future passions. This is where the magic begins. I feel so honoured and privileged as a Kindergarten educator to have the opportunity to help students discover themselves, what interests them, and by a guide as they fall in love with learning.
